| Overview |
|
The Hamlet of Beaufort and in particular the keep that shares
the name, serve as home for The Knights Templar, their recruits and the
masonic order. New members are encouraged to buy land of their own in the town, allowing them to fully take advantage of, and contribute to the facilities available.
|
| Facilities |
| The town offers a number of
establishments, some for duty and training and some for R&R. Members are
encouraged to take advantage of the facilities available, as well as
keeping them in mind when planning events. If the buildings do not fit the
purpose exactly, talk to the owner and maybe a few alterations will make
the event come to life.

| Green Spots |
| One of the problems with
the "new" house placement rules is the proximity within which houses can
be placed, quickly crowding towns not fortunate enough to have trees. Some of the houses in Beaufort that serve no actual purpose have been cleared and made pure grass plots (maybe with a shed and a few storage chests) The purpose is simple, we want to draw attention to the guild's buildings, their purpose and architecture. As it is now, Beaufort Keep is crammed in behind the tavern, imagine a whole area with just small cottages or grass fields and the keep rising solemnly above all other buildings in the area.

|
As mentioned above, members are encouraged to buy land in Beaufort, expanding the Hamlet, a few rules must be adhered to when designing though:
Designing: Before you start designing your new home, take a walk around Beaufort and take a look at how other Beaufort houses look, you will notice that although the houses are different they stick to basically the same style of architecture. - This is done on purpose, and it is your task as newcommer to make your house fit in:
Outside: Grey stones for walls, flat stone or thatch roof. Sign on house should be an ankh. Inside: Preferably wood floors, spend some time making it fit, teleporters are not welcome, but can be used in hidden passageways, please always use stairs when possible. Decorative items: All "good" items such as decorative shields, swords, banners (colour them KT blue) are very welcome, evil and elven items are of course banned.
Generally try and make your house as naturally looking as possible, as with all other things in KT, its not the appearance that counts, its what you do with what you have. |
